a spoiler question about Da Capo SS

Post by Gyumaou »

***WARNING***SPOILER***WARNING***

I've been wondering if the second season has the same stupid "magical-forces-that-cause-characters'-unhappiness" thingie as it was in the first season. I sometimes like to watch this kind of anime just not to think about anything, but I guess there's very little light and funny anime without a goddamned "everyone is unhappy" or "almost everyone is unhappy" ending :/
The first season seemed to be a nice series, but they just had to put that damn magic-sakura-of-unhappiness stuff, which just really pissed me off. I mean, I like animes like KgNE or AIR (movie is better :)) but if I want to watch a light pleasant serie I expect one to stay like that all the way to the end

Back to my question, the reason I ask is because I don't know wheather to watch 2nd season or not - don't ever wanna see stuff like the first season again

Nope, so far (ep 10) it doesn`t seem as it stays lighthearted. Lots of happy/silly stuff in the beginning but somewhere around ep 5 we get the usual drama :) I can`t tell you what happens after that, but I guess it`ll be more like the first season.
And since you`re asking for warnings, Shuffle! does the same :)

well, the usual drama is not bad, as long as it's not a total tragedy by the end of the serie :) I guess I'll maybe start watching it and continue up to the point where (and if) it gets to the "supernatural tragedies" part ;)
But thanks for reply, and the warning abt shuffle! ;)

A bit late, but whatever. :P
Da Capo is a musical term in Italian, meaning from the beginning, often abbreviated D.C..

Now, with such a title you should be able to guess the theme of the anime. In short, the second season offers the same shit which the first did, just in a worse way, with a lot of meaningless additions. Spare yourself the pain and skip on it.

And to spoil the thing. The Sakura-alike brat, Aisia, once again reactivates the tree, everybody forgets what has happened with Nemu and Junichi in the first season but eventually she stops the tree like Sakura did in the first season and it ends with an incest marriage. Now you don't have any more reason to waste your time on it. ;)
