I was wondering if anyone else was having the same trouble playing the latest, english-subbed, episodes of Ghost in the Shell SAC? No matter what I do, the the picture jerks/vibrates every few seconds. Any advice?

This is probably xvid-related (- in other words: your xvid-codec [if any] is out of date).

Get a newer XviD here: http://nic.dnsalias.com/XviD-Dec.exe or http://www.roeder.goe.net/~koepi/XviD-Dec-230203.exe

If those still won't work, use the "unstable" version from http://koepi.roeder.goe.net/xvid.shtml.

Thanx, it works beautifully with the new codec installed...now if I could only figure out why all my episodes of Showtime's "Family Business" wont play past the first few seconds, I'd be all set...

You could try if it works with an alternate player like MPC (Download for 98/Me or 2000/XP).

... but better ask in the place where you got that (non-anime-)stuff

Try BSPlayer, in the settings, check "Always play DivX3,4,5 files with DivX4 decoder".

It worked for me... I'd like my old player to play my files but now all I see is a grey screen!
