Armitage III OVA codec problems

I recently got down: Armitage III - 4 - Bit of Love - [RG](7f4d5659)[AniDB].ogm

The info page states it uses these codecs:
Video Codec: XviD - Bitrate: 0 kBit/s
Audio Codec: Ogg Vorbis - Bitrate: 0 kBit/s

However it ghosts/pixilates when I attempt to play it. I have installed the latest XviD codec (XviD - 04102002-1.exe) but it still does not play correctly.

Can anyone help me rectify this problem?

The xvid site had the solution in their FAQ. Unfortunately the solution is somewhat painful and it's not a global change, ie you have to set it for each file.
