language filter for group info box.. Does this mean that if another group released in a different language we won't see that release at all?

Example: Japanese and English language selected.

So a fansub in Chinese won't show in the group fansub listing?

that is correct. if you understand Chinese then add Chinese to the lang list. if you understand more than 5 languages, then don't use the filter at all.

we might add a option to disable it for the group box only

What about if you have English and Japanese and then a group is doing Japanese audio with English AND Chinese subs? Will that get filtered out too?

of course not

it's obviosuly not an absolute match filter. that would be silly. if some condition matches it hits. if not it hides the stuff.
