what's the purpose of AniDB anyway? what does it do? If we cannot view/download/watch anime here?

so you don't actually watch it here
you just make a list of anime episodes you need to and have watched, right?
coz i feel like an idiot trying to figure out ways of watching the episodes for like an hour now. haha
