A few AOM questions

I'm sorry I could not find this in the WIKI, so I will ask here. Please bear with me, I am not very good at WIKIs at all.

I was wondering, on my HD, I have a folder called ANIME, with one subfolder for each anime-series I have on my PC. In AOM I press "ADD FOLDER" about three times a week and select the ANIME folder, so that I can upload all my new anime to MYLIST.

The old files that were added last time I added the ANIME folder, will they be added once more, or will AOM understand that I have added them before? And when I remove entried from "KNOWN FILES", will they automatically be removed from MYLIST here on AniDB? Or will I have to manually remove the things I want to remove from mylist here at aniDB?

I ask the last question because often I burn my files on DVD and delete the files on the Harddisk, wich means that lots of files cant be found on the Harddisk, even if I have them.

your question should have gone here.

as for replies:

i) Aom can be set up to scan a particular folder, check the options.
ii) aom remebers files between sessions, that's what the Known files are for.
iii) if you remove an entry from the known files list you will not remove anything from your online mylist, but the next time aom runs, the file you removed will be scanned again.

i don't remember if aom clears non-existing files from your known files list, but i do think so, check the options anyway.

Will this mess up my MYLIST? I mean, will i get stuff like "Owned episodes: 48/24 (48 out of 24 episodes for example). ? Beause now, I have this error on many series. I have been told that this will be fixed on next server update within a few days, but I dont know how to avoid the error in the future..

Im not sure i understand your question but you need to keep in mind that many things in anydb are not changed in real time so for example your anime stats or you noting an anime as seen wont be reflected on this anime stat until 1 to 3 day and there is no way to prevent that as its the normal way of the site to work

U can't have a file two times, therefor that is not possible.

But of course u can have different files of one ep, but it is count as 1 ep and not 2 or more.
