I'm still a bit nervous when making changes to the database so...

When I CREQ for the length of an episode, the only info I have about the length is from the actual file(s) I have. Is it possible that another file for the same ep (e.g. from another fansub) will have a different length? And if that's the case, how can we agree on the length of an episode?

I ask because I recently made some minor corrections to the lengths of some episodes (CREQ granted) only to see them CREQ'ed back to the initial values...

That was nwa being a tard. He likes round numbers. Really though, episode lengths are a convenience feature only, and shouldn't really be worried to much about. Pretty much the only thing you can do to annoy me over them is make hundreds of creqs to ep-length-only where you just change it by a few minutes...

In any case, official sites always mark the length for hentais at 30 minutes (30分) no matter if the episode is actually shorter or longer (well, there are hentais which are 15 or 45 minutes long, or other time values, but majority have 30 minutes), I guess they like round numbers as well, and yes, files by different groups may almost always have different lenghts, some may cut something out, some may add something in etc.
It's less likely to happen with DTV releases, though.

Then I'll CREQ for the nearest round number from now on!
