AniDB

Hi!

Just wondering if this message board is the only way to contact the AniDB staff. Can't find any contact info in the Wiki. Don't want to PM them unless they say OK.

Reason I'm asking is that I've noticed some strange actions on AniDB and if it's the result of hacking I don't want to bring too much attention to it in case these hackers frequent this forum.

IRC, or pm via this forum or the main website. Me, the baka, or nwa being the best bets for any kind of useful response probably. Though we're not medical experts, and you should take most sensitive problems to your local doctor.

For the curious, abuse of the wiki-ness of anidb is not hacking. Ongoing issues with fake anime being added, bad files, eps, voting abuse, joke hebrew titles, whatever - anything that a registered user can do without going through the creq system, are not causes for alarm. There is very little that malicious adders-of-data can do to affect the running of anidb, and it's pretty easy to just wipe stuff.
