AniDB

anidb holds a lot of anime file infomation, that is great. However, sometimes the anime I have is a raw avi and a seperate subtitle file (mostly in .ssa format). I want anidb to hold the subtitle infomation (i.e. language, e2link, etc) for me, too. But the file upload form apparently is designed for video files (fields as quality, codec, etc.).

Is it encouraged to upload subtitle file infomation to anidb or not? How?

Feel free to add them. There are plenty of sub files in the DB already.
Just leave the fields that cannot be filled as 'unknown'. It's a rather ugly solution IMO, but that's how it's done.
