I just found out that AniDB doesn't let you insert releasing dates that will occur in the future. It considers it an error. As you know some of the producers announce previously the dates. I also verified another curious fact. It seems that that AniDB accepts the first two change requests, but after that you get the bug.
I wonder if it could be edited, because when you compare releasing dates between episodes you'll get a little bit confused before you realize it´s a bug.
I think this is a feature. You should not add entries for episodes that have not aired. As anything could happen over the next few months to disrupt the schedual, even dates from the comapny making the anime can't be taken as absolute. Having a 'correct' date in the future that later proves to be wrong would be a pain to sort out. Secondly, is it adding useful information? No. The official site for an anime should be linked on the page, and you're not adding dates from unofficial sources, surely?
In my opinion, users who add episode entries speculativly should be sent a polite message by a mod telling them not to.
Well, I don´t think it's that bad..So what if the productions has a delay and the release time becomes obsolete. You just request a change if you have the new one or else just leave the old one there...At least you give the user a close idea of the original release date without forcing him to check the producers page just to get that information...
Your opinion is quite understandable but it's just a little bit off-topic... This is a simple bug report..
