Exactly

The group-infos will be correctly updated within 24 hours - no need to delete the file-entry.

Here: HOWTO - add a movie to anidb [TEMPORARY]

Everyone can add new episodes - or request to change existing episodes (same for basically everything on anidb).

(After being logged in and opening the page for the movie,) select "add part" from the bottom, enter the ep-number (4) and title ("Part 1 of 3") and click "add/edit". On the next page choose "add another ep" and repeat the above for "Part 2 of 3" and "Part 3 of 3".

After that, you can normally add the file-infos.

Well,

currently anidb doesn't handle movies which are split into more than one file very well. So please use this workaround:

Setup a movie with the following episodes:
- ep1: movie part 1 of 1
- ep2: movie part 1 of 2
- ep3: movie part 2 of 2
(if there are 3 or more part versions around also add)
- ep4: movie part 1 of 3
- ep5: movie part 2 of 3
- ep6: movie part 3 of 3

please NEVER add two parts of a movie to the same episode, this screws things up badly!
Should you have done that in the past please review your entries and edit them if needed.

In your case, you would go to the escaflowne movie page then you:

1) would click on Add Part.

In the "Add Part for Vision of Escaflowne - A Girl in Gaea" page you would then put in part number "4" and "Part 1 of 3" as for title name english, introduce the play length of the file in the respective field and press "Add/Edit".

2) then back on the Escaflowne movie page you would press the Image icon in the action colum of the part you added (PA 4 - Part 1 of 3).

3) then on the "Add File for Vision of Escaflowne - A Girl in Gaea" for the part number you added you would add the "ed2k link" and all other information you have about each part, at the end press "ADD/EDIT" to confirm.

After these 3 steps you would repeat them again for the 2 remaing parts.

Hope that this helped.

PS: If you mess up somewhere you can allways re-edit or remove your files/parts, or ask some mod in the "DB Change Requests" to do it.

In an internal discussion, we concluded that the runlength of "Part X of Y" episodes should either be 0 or "total length / Y", because there's no real fixed correct value as soon as the ep has more than one file.
