Question about movie parts...

I noticed that some movies have 1 complete file and 2 parts as well. For example, GITS has the complete movie in 1 file, but also has CD1 and CD2, 2 seperate files. Are the 2 CDs different from the single file? Better quality perhaps? :?:

depends. a 2cd rip should normally be better, but if the source was really bad or if the ripper is the worst possible it doesn't have to be.
but generally you can say 2 cd versions are better than 1 cd versions.
things which can help you to decide are:
- star rating (some people who rate the files are total bakas so the rating might be wrong)
- bitrate of video (the higher the better; 1000 is standard; 1500-1800 is pretty good)
- bitrate of audio (the higher the better; 128 for mp3/96 for ogg is normal)
- used codec for audio (ac3>=aac>ogg>mp3)
- resolution (640x... is standard, higher is better, but can also be bad. especially when it's bigger than 720x...)
- avoid hkdvd labeled files! the subs are so bad your eyes will start to bleed at best.

all that can't prevent that you get a bad rip, because those numbers won't help if the ripper or the dvd-source totally sucks.

as for ghost in the shell try the zx version. good spread and good quality
