RDF newsfeed down?

I swear I searched the forums for the answer and couldn't find it. I hope this is the right forum
Ever since Thursday, May 20 (last time the server went down), my newsreader (FeedReader Alpha 2.5) can't access http://anidb.ath.cx/anidb.rdf . However, if I access that URL with IE, I get the correct XML newsfeed file with the latest news.
I read in another thread that GZip compression is now used throughout the site. Does this apply to the newsfeed as well? Is there any newsreader out there that support gzip?
(I was actually surprised that a search for "rdf" only showed the announce URL and another discussion -- I though this feature was pretty handy
Or is there something else people use to keep up-to-date with AniDB's latest additions? )
edit: I forgot to describe the error, in case someone's using the same client as me: it no longer updates the newsitems (even though I know they're there, when opening via IE). When I tried to create a new feed using that URL, it complained "No newsfeed found".
