well i removed temporary internet files + cookies and im still getting login failed errors

it says that im logged in ... and the notification says something different :S

These are two different errors:
1) After changing the password, the old auto-login cookie still tries to do the login with the old password, causing repeated "login failed"-messages when trying to surf AniDB
Solution: Delete the cookie for anidb.ath.cx

2) Even though logging in on the website works at first, when then trying to view other pages (e.g. myplace), it returns a "login first".
Solution: Allow cookies from anidb.ath.cx, see Help! Login doesn't work / kicked out when I log in.

1.i didnt change password
2.it accepts cookies b/c it works fine on other sites with cookies

and i tried that link you gave.... it didnt work i added it to IE ... nothing

a) you have cookies disabled in your browser (Is Enabled)
b) you are using a proxy server which spans multiple ips, try enabling the remember password option (Not Using Proxy)
c) your system time is incorrect (Yes)

So you fixed your system time and it works now? Or do I misunderstand?

problem was: Zonealarm (Firewall) had some kind of cookie blocking O_o
