Hi guys, I just got here (and in animereactor) and I wanted to know if is necesarry to add the animes I have, because the versions that I see in the database are a little (to say a lot) different from the ones there.

For example, I have all the evangelion series in a "2 chapters per file" series. In that way I don't know have can I make my list. Also have the Love Hina Mangas all in a zip file.

  So, how can I share if I don't fit in the guidelines?

Plus, I have them all on cd (adding new one to cd sets also).

Please help

P.S.: is there other way to share, should I make a webpage with the series I have (to avoid breaking any guidelines) with ed2k links and stuff?

Currently, there are only moreless ugly workarounds to add such...
To be honest - assuming that the files you have are most likely LQ and the amount of people who have it is outnumbered by those who have the dvdrips - it'd be best to not add these files at all.
(Not because they're LQ, but because they'd really clutter the NGE-page.)

AniDB is anime-only. No OSTs, no mangas, no games ;)

Post some more examples of what you believe to not fit in the guidelines and maybe we can work out how to add it nonetheless ;)

I don't understand the problem here. You can mark every file in your mylist as "on cd", so...

Of course, you could make your own homepage with links to those files that just don't fit into AniDB...

However, in case you plan to release something in the AR-forum:
If there's already a good or even better version available than what you have (e.g. dvd- vs. vhsrip), it's really not useful to share the file. Simply because nearly nobody would want to get it... ^^;

I think there is some kind of missunderstanding involved.

AniDB and the Animereactor ed2k server are not related.
You do not have to add files to anidb in order to share them on the animereactor ed2k server.

If you want to "release" something, you should go to the animereactor forum and post a release thread there.

P.S.: some hints about the release issue, any guidelines?

I saw the guidelines, forget about the post...

Well, other thing, I have been searching about that server and also looking for aniverse and; for the second one; it seems dead, any update about its status?

P.S.: recommendations?

LOL, just teasing, but I did think that was kinda funny.

And no, please tell me that you wouldn't be rewarding people with a movie of you and the girl we find for you... well ... you know.... 8O

I got to change that to something funnier  , but really, I am just starting the site, not a big thing but I want to know the general opinion

P.S.: yes, I made it in FrontPage Lame Micro$oft 0ff1c3, I know it looks laaaaame, but well, is a start. Besides, I got this cool program that calculates hashes without having emule installed on the laptop (I know that is a transfer from a popular program in the Linux community, the only thing I an concerning right know is that the calculations of the hashes are correct or not)

Here is the link for it

AniDB FAQ: HOWTO - Generate Ed2k Links (or MD5, CRC, ...)
And of course you could have a look at the beta-version of AniDB-O-Matic.

As far as I know, they are.

Ok, I sense some humor here...
