I don't know if this is a new feature, but I just noticed it, couldn't find any documentation on it, the Anime/Group rating. It's really just the thing that's needed. Normally I just look for the most populous files when figuring which group to d/l, and then look at the name of the group to see if I can expect quality... But, in my haste I accidently misrated a group's release for an anime and would like to revoke it.. I've poked around the page, my mypage to see if a subpage would let me revoke my vote but I can't find it, any hints ?

Side note, maybe there could be a comment field of sorts attached to that same area (the "Group Info"), sometimes it would be nice to know just what people think about the quality of the whole release in a qualitative manner rather than "good, very good" which doesn't really tell much. Sometimes reviews will say "definitely go for (group X)'s subs, hands down the best quality" but not always. If users were allowed to leave a quick paragraph description of the general quality, or could vent frustrations ("They switch the character's name order! BASTARDS."), etc., it would be helpful to get an a feel for the quality of the product before downloading, but no worries just queue em up and let em stew for a week and you got yourself a series...

The anime/group-rating was introduced ~ a week ago, that's why it lacks most of the vote-descriptions, a documentation and some features (like revoke, but that's on todo )

The biggest problem with this would be that these comments quickly become useless once there are more than maybe 10 of them...

Another matter is fairness - a "Stay away from this!"-comment outweighs voting with "1". So, once some people feel like leaving such a comment, those who liked it have to post redundant comments like "good version", "nothing wrong with this"...

In order to be useful, the comments would IMO quickly need some form of moderation... and I don't know if it's really worth the hassle. ^^;

as wahaha already said, revokeing anime/group votes is on todo and we're still thinking about the comment part.

Yeah, I figured it was just a new feature with a revoke coming in down the line, just checking. As far as moderation, that's a good point regarding the uselessness of excessive comments. I know it's not this simple (even if you reuse the code you still have to extensively retool it to fit the purpose), but maybe a reuse fo the anime review moderation code? People could comment on a set of files, and if it were obvious they were just pimping their favorite group or complaining because soft/hard-sub preference they'd quickly be modded down to 0 or lower. I mean, it's a start, but I suppose it would be really tricky handling the signal:noise ratio in that sort of system, and possibly more work than it's really worth. Thanks for the replies.

You can now revoke your votes. At least, it works here ... might be because I`m a mod though But I think it should work for you as well. Click to vote it, then you`ll see that you have the ability to revoke that vote again.
