Do I need to uninstall the older client before installing v0.3? If so how?
Edit: I see that the new zip just contains the updated files (no installation program). So I assume it's safe to just overwrite the old ones. I was mainly worried about the shell integration.

You need to manually disable the "Hash with AoM"-entry in
Settings -> Options -> Hashing -> Uncheck "Integrate into shell"
If you didn't manually enable that option to begin with, there's nothing you need to do to use a newer AoM-version.
AoM Readme wrote:- Hashing
- "Integrate into shell"
- Adds a "Hash with AniDB O'Matic" to your explorer right click menu for files and folders. NOTE: Please uncheck this box and apply settings if you remove the program or the option will remain forever.
Apart from that, there's no uninstallation needed, just delete the AoM-folder.

Thanks. I should've RTFMed more closely. I did have it on so, to be safe, I temporarily restored the old client (in the same dir) and checked/unchecked it). New client seems to working ok.
