At the moment i have a tonne of anime on my computer and the filenmaes for these episodes are very messed up... so what i'm trying to do is create a program that takes the name of the series from the directory name and the episode number from the file name and use that to query the database on anidb for the episode name seeing as it has the most complete database that i've come accross! i don't know if they'd feel comfortable about this or not but i was wondering if they could help me out in the querying bit... i'd appreciate any help i can get! and if not then i'd suggest it as an idea for anidb to consider...

thanx

please do not access the anidb website using any automated scripts.

however, I think your problem can be solved by using an AniDB Client which supports automated file renaming, please check out http://www.anidb.net/client/

additional information is available in #anidb-o-matic @ irc.mircx.com
