What is OVA?
How do I play *.ogm files?

OVA is short for "Original Video Animation". It refers to how the anime was first released: OVAs are not being broadcast over TV, but are sold exclusively on DVDs (or years ago, VHS).
In order to play OGM files, you either need a player with built in support for that file type (such as VLC - the VideoLan Client), or you need to install the
OGM Splitter DirectShow-Filter.
Installing this filter allows any application that uses DirectShow (i.e. Windows Media Player) to open and read OGM files - however you also need the proper codec or DS filter to decode the video stream in the file into an image. More info can be found in

I tired downloading the OggDS Filter from this link:

and it's not working. anyone know the current link?

I just did a quick search and that is still the correct site. I tried it and it works fine for me. Maybe there was just a problem when you tried it, try it again.

it wasn't the site that wasn't loading. I accidently added the dot after I pasted it in here. It was after I tried the download button at the site. But, I tried it again today and it worked.
Go figure right? Anyway thanks for the help!
