I assume you mean softsubs inside ogm-files?

First, make sure that VSFilter was properly installed:
Get GSpot, open one of the files in question with it and click the "Render"-button.

Please post the contents of the "Video Path" right below the render-button. It looks like this:

Code: Select all

(S) --> Ogg Splitter --> DivX Decoder Filter --> DirectVobSub (auto-loading version) --> (R)

Well then, first try to (re-)install VSFilter:
How to play the files? wrote:[Nearly direct Link to VSFilter 2.32] (Install-Howto below!)

If you encounter a file with customizeable subtitles (so-called "softsubs", meaning that you can change the font/size/color/placement), you have to get VSFilter (former DVobSub) from SourceForge.net.

Note that it has to be installed manually:
1.A) When using Windows 95, 98 or Me: Extract the vsfilter.dll from the archive's "Release"-Directory to your "windows\system"-directory.
1.B) When using Windows 2000 or XP: Extract the vsfilter.dll from the archive's "Release-Unicode"-Directory to your "windows\system32"-directory.
2) Run the command "regsvr32.exe vsfilter.dll" (from Start->Run or the commandline).

THere, I've made a account.

Yea, i tried to install the vsfilter , but everytime i tried to run the regsvr32.exe vsfilter.dll on the run command it says it cant find the vsfilter. I put the vsfilter.dll in my win32 directory already too :x

The problem is that that doesn't make sense for me ^^;

The regsvr32.exe is also in \windows\system32, so if the OS finds that file, there's no way it can't find \windows\system32\vsfilter.dll...

Well ok, you can try it once more with the complete path to vsfilter.dll:
run: "regsrv32 ?:\...\vsfilter.dll" (w/o quotation-marks)
The value for ?:\... should be something like "c:\windows\system32" or "d:\win\system32", depending on where you installed it.

If it still doesn't work, I fear you have to try a codec-pack...
First, get http://dl.matroska.org/packs/Matroska_P ... v1.0.1.exe
When installing it, disable anything but "VSFilter" (and the matroska-splitter).

You can't run vsfilter.dll manually, it needs to be registered.
Please post the full command you're using to register vsfilter in your Windows (the "regsvr32..." line, as wahaha already explained) and the message, if any, you receive.
