It could be argued that since both exist within the universe of those animes that they should also be listed on aniDB, but then again, they're not strictly anime. You could say it would open a can of worms and then everyone would want manga and OSTs and etc. listed as well since it's 'within the universe' of a certain anime, but I think it's a fairly easy line to draw; shows are shows and manga/etc. won't be listed.
I know you already stated in that thread I linked to that only anime should be listed on aniDB, but would it really hurt list anime-related shows? Animesuki (bittorrent?! oh horrors!) lists both of those series, and it seems to me that those people interested in the animes for those shows would also be interested in the spinoff live action shows. Live action 'making ofs' are not technically anime (although they do deal directly with the anime, so this isn't the best of arguments), but they're still listed.
Example: After watching the GTO anime, I was curious enough to download an episode or two of the live action. Although I didn't end up watching the series because it was more or less the same story, I'm still glad I saw the two I did and they were a decently interesting watch. Even if there isn't a lot of demand for non-anime shows, at least listing them would allow people to whet their curiousity.
Thoughts? Shutdowns? Insults?
