Main page non-image loady-ness

Post by Rar »

Just switched to Firefox (0.9.2) from Netscape 7, and the back images on the left on the main page don't seem to want to load - and white text on grey background is rather hard to read. SO, am I being a firefox newb and missing some setting somewhere, or is this some compatability issue?

I am having the same problem. All of the text shows up just peachy, but none of the icons. However, the area where there icon should be works just fine. It's not to much of an inconvenience for me since I know what all the icons are... but still kind of annoying when the site doesn't work right on my end. I'm sure it's an issue on my end since if it was a global thing there would be many people complaining. The icons still show up when I view the site in IE, just not in Firefox 8 or 9.

I have seen this problem intermittently for a while now. But I am using an unsupported Maxthon (MyIE2). :?

Well, I never had this unless I can't access www.anidb.net. Do you have problems with it? Have you disabled images loading by mistake for the site?

Found the answer. It was on my end, as I suspected in my previous post.

Under options, Web Features - there is an option that says "load images for originating site only" if that is checked, you won't see Anidb correctly.

Different solution here: images were trying to load from cache, but something had gon wrong in the hand over and they were listed as 0x0 dimensions. For the curious:

Solution: Clear cache. :)

Solution: use a better browser?! :P

The quest for the best browser/video player is still on-going. :(

Restart, clear cache, reload?
