anime page: more attributes for a "release" [OLD R
On the page of an anime in aniDB, the table above the files section shows the "top 6" releases of groups with the attributes: Group Info, Group, Last Ep, State, Last Update, Rating, Cmts and Action. I'd like to ask for several additional usability features here. First, the number of the la...

Anime documentaries in aniDB?
Recently there was a 52 min. documentary about the Ghibli studios in German/French TV (ARTE), covering almost a dozen Ghibli movies with scenes/excerpts, and a number of interviews with important Ghibli people (such as Miyazaki or Takahata). There's a release of this documentary in ed2k which I am s...

Very interesting discussion... During the last two days I entered most of my anime stuff here, all of which I had to convert my rating from another site (where I use some percentage value) to this 1-10 range. After reading the explanations of the rating values (prominently linked in the website) I h...

The tool of my choice for identifying video attributes has been avicodec for quite a while now. The latest version (1.2beta) supports AVI and OGG, it opens MKV but cannot yet correctly identify the streams in there. As the tool is under active support (latest version only two weeks old) I am hopeful...

also, if you create your own personal version of a file, then don't add it to AniDB Said Matroska containers have 10+ complete copies in ed2k already, thus my own version wouldn't probably make it into the market there. Then again if I saw a realistic chance for it I'd want to add the files to the ...

entering complex video containers
I am about to enter a handful of files for RahXephon to the database. But the form provided by "mass add" (any maybe even the data model of this site) appears not to be flexible enough for these strange files which consist these streams: 1. a raw video stream in Xvid 2. a German audio stre...

AniDB.info website - noob questions
Hi folks, I just tried to "move in" to anidb yesterday, and I noticed several things that puzzle me a little. Probably it's my fault by messing up certain settings but as I cannot find the corresponding setting I have to ask for help now. 1. I did enable the profile settings for "see ...
