Yes, most of my recent "File" CREQs are automated. :) You may not remember it now, but I once told you that I keep my own simple DB of data on files that I have or had. Since it is too much pain to scan visually and type this data into DB by hand, I've scripted it and now I'm slowly feedin...

Any way to get rid of some HTTP overhead?

UDP API is limited and TCP API is not open. Besides, both of them are not well-suited for firewalled enviroment, so I just emulate HTTP user agent with help of perl LWP module in my script that helps me automate some CREQs and mylist adds/changes. Question is: is there anything to lower amount of tr...

Some way of finding unwatched files in mylist [tracked]

It would be good to be able to see unwatched files in mylist (another report?). Right now filtering anime by state in mylist doesn't help much to track unwatched files if you want to find unwatched versions of file for some episode you watched in another release or to find unwatched specials.

As there's lots of different hardware devices that support different sets of featuress, I don't see how this can be reliably implemented. Besides, it is really not files or DB problem.

Who cares about people? There's lots of bears and vodka, and bears (well, at least pandas) and vodka are refered in anime often enough.

True, but it's better to solve that by grouping double entries on output. If something like 製作・著作 will be added, it will require splitting back when some kind of grouping is implemented. It could be easily automated, though.

Shouldn't those two 製作・著作 and 制作・著作 be just double entry for company under 著作 and 製作/製作 respectively?

Type of search that would allow you to search for all anime with ::Sports, but without any of ::Sports::*. Good idea, but I think it would be not exactly obvious for average user.

Well, I've voted "no" when this poll was posted back then, but indeed, hidden category would be very useful to avoid this stuff. And to keep them from being added over and over again.

How about keeping URLs, unless domain expired and reassigned to someone else? This will apply mostly to groups URLs - anime either hosted on producer / TV station site or authors don't allow their domains to expire.

Separate class value for fields that contain japanese [DONE]

All fields that may contain japanese text (official japanese name, synonyms, entries in mylist when japanese selected as prefered language, etc) should have some separate class attribute set, so users can set other font face/size for japanese in their custom CSS.

Dead group/company/anime URLs

What to do with dead URLs? I've removed some in the past, but recently while looking for some data on anime that existed only on official, but now dead page, I've recalled than I can check dead sites with tools like Google cache or Wayback Machine. So, what to do with such URLs? Remove them? Mark th...

Right, but often those are generated on the fly. I've seen some of such filenames for fansub releases with incorrect checksums in filename. Somebody just got corrupt file, and automatically added checksum for that corrupt file to its filename.
