This falls WAY outside of the realm of AniDB. A good portion of people have problems playing certain files on their PC's, let alone getting them to play on another system. Also, gathering the type of information necessary to figure out which files will play where and what the specific requirements f...

These are the 10 highest rated animes in AniDB as rated by AniDB users. An anime must have a minimum number of votes to be listed on the Top 10. You can get a longer list of the highest rated animes by going to the Animelist and doing a descending sort on the Rating column. Yes, the code is differen...

I am getting close to the end of a big project (the customer is supposed to have it by Monday), so maybe I will be able to start looking at the hint again... Well maybe not, I just got a call, after typing that saying we might get a big order in next week. We'll see... Anyway, although the option to...

You can try avdump with the -0123e options and see what hashes it reports. Also if you could post what AOM thinks the hash is that may be helpful (you can get it from the log tab, you may need to remove the file from the known files to force it to be rehashed). The file is in the database as AOM Ver...

Huh? I don't get it. Naming series which discount your theory helps you how? It wasn't a theory, just an observation, I was hoping someone who had seen it would be able to supply a reasonable answer or there was some information that could be dug up that would support it one way or the other. But w...

but not unheard of. 8O 35 eps, plus a special, that's impressive. I didn't know about that one. I was thinking of Night Shift Nurses and Cool Devices when I made my comment which is why I said "unusual"... BTW, I did a quick search and there are only 4 Hentai with at least 10 eps, and the...

Logic, material from a manga, and sometimes even popularity are not always enough for a sequel. I do not read that many manga, but from what I have heard, MOST manga extend beyond the anime. Sometimes an anime will stop when the story obviously isn't finished yet. You can never count on a sequel unt...

For English Titles it is usually a translation of the Japanese Title until it is released in English, then generally it will be updated to the "official" title. Personally I prefer to get the title from the screen, or from a DVD cover. Note, even "official" websites are not alway...

It isn't the search which bothers me, it's the normal letter list. Which is little more than a search for everything that starts with that letter... It just has an convenient interface and is available in areas where other searching is not available. The fact that it was not limited before was a bu...

There are only 1.5 million hits for furry pron... 1,560,000 actually.

It is a resources issue, bandwidth being a major one. Most pages were already limited in the number of results. If there was one before the update, then it was a bug that just was fixed.

Here is the note that was supposed to be there: AniDB only allows temporary voting for animes which have started airing. To determine if an anime has started airing the First Aired/Released date of the anime entry is compared to the current date. Temporary voting is only possible if the First Aired/...
