a first implementation of this is finished (though not yet available on the main server).
however for testing purposes we'd still need some large example exports.

I can look into the animedb side of this, however I would need some data for testing.
urban0p, can you send me an export of a large myanimelist export? (just pm me an url where i can download it)

Maybe a special import page on the website would be better for this. An UDP API based approach would have to sent one UDP packet per file. If someone wants to import a 500 anime mylist with an average of 24 eps per anime that would lead to 12.000 packets. Same goes for the matching of anime names, t...

is that an xml structure you just came up with or is some other page/program exporting data in exactly that way? One issue would be that mapping some fields to anidb could be pretty hard. Anidb just doesn't store some parts of that information and others might be used differently. I.e. anidb's mylis...

Btw. we want to encourage client authors to checkin their source into the AniDB SVN repository from now on. So if you'd be willing to do that, please drop me a line and I'll send you the needed account data. BYe! EXP PS: and if you find an obvious mistake in the API DOCs or anywhere else on the wiki...

Tags & MyList

The latest discussion in #anidb made clear that there seems to be some need for further explanations of some of the ideas for the next version of the mylist page. I've therefore added a new page on the wiki and would like to encourage everybody to add their ideas and maybe discuss the merits and pro...

There have been a couple of changes to the way how anime and episode titles are stored internally, lately. Something may well have been broken on the way. Another issue is that the new storage structure isn't that easily mapped onto the old ANIME syntax. We'll have to see how to best resolve that. B...

ostdb wouldn't really solve this, if that's what you were hinting at.
after all this is about the credit videos, not the songs themselves.

fixed.

The problem was a typo (as you may have noticed by comparing the two aids).
This is part of a new anidb feature called search assist which maps some search requests which don't return any results to specific animes. As this is a manual process, some mistakes are unavoidable.

Please check whether the following steps fix the problem:

1) add a new file to your mylist (doesn't matter what file or for which anime)
2) wait 24h

PS: you can of course continue to use anidb and add more files to your mylist during those 24h.
