Re: Philosophy of Reviewing

In my opinion, reviews should only be rated by people who have seen the show AFTER they have read the review. I've thought of that too! Or, to rephrase it backwards, "only allow people who HAVEN'T watched the anime yet rate its reviews". Let them vote on how much the review helped them pi...

Oh, all right. I set comments on the Wishlist of course but I usually mark why I want this anime (e.g. helps learn Japanese). I used to remove it from my Wishlist once I've completed it but sometimes I'd leave the Notify to keep track of possible new files (you'll never know when someone will sub an...

Ability to set Comments in Notifies [DENIED]

I think a rather nice feature would be to allow the user to set Comments for his Notifications, much in the same way he can set Comments in his Wishlist. It occured to me today, just when I discovered that I had a lot of animes on the Notify list and I couldn't quite remember why... I almost deleted...

OK, I see...

So, if I change the property to A through AniDB.net and then connect the client (which had set the same property to B while offline), AOM will re-change the property to B.

...er... this means that whoever gets last wins... right?

How do you handle conflicts?

How do you handle conflicts? What happens if I change an entry in AniDB MyList for a file to A and (while offline) I change the same property for the same file in AOM to B? What happens when I connect the client? Who "wins", AOM or AniDB.net and what property does the file take (A or B?)? ...

AniDB MyList and AOM MyList out of sync

This happens to me so many times that I've always thought of it as a cool feature of the AOM client.. I was quite suprised today when I searched the forum and I've not found anyone else reporting anything like this! Example: I burned some animes on DVD the day before yesterday and used the AniDB.net...

Version 0.5.5.239 AOM still doesn't save the "Correct data if Different" option's state. Furthermore, it doesn't only fail to save the option's state but it doesn't even execute the "data correction if different" feature because the option is un-ticked as soon as I exit the Optio...

MyList report: Outdated versions of files [OLD REQ]

It would be nice if we could have a report showing at a glance which of our files on MyList are "older versions" i.e. the fansub group has released a vX (v2, v3...) version of the same episode whereas we have vY (where X>Y).

...and maybe provide links to the vX files?

OK then!

I just thought it was your policy to transfer the entry under BOTH of the episodes... but I see that it would complicate things.

Google Toolbar for Firefox

Ok, I narrowed it down to the Google Toolbar plugin for Firefox.

For some obscure reason, it doesn't allow those tooltips to appear.
I've disabled it now and all is back to normal.

Thanks! 8)
