Talk about thread necromancy (last post 1 year and 5 monthes ago.) i know and i use this feature, I think it was introduced AFTER i created this thread, and in fact, after this thread died. Regardless, if it is NOT going to use those then it still shouldn't rename improperly. (ie, if you are not usi...

so if a peice of info sits on the swap for monthes without being accessed... why is it loaded in the first place? It could have been easily accessed from the harddrive (which it IS, thats what the swap is, harddrive!) once its actually needed. Its already on the harddrive, loading it to swap just ma...

well, MilesMi really nailed everything. One question though, how much ram do you have? With sufficient ram its better to completely eliminate swap, or set an autoloading ramdrive and put the swap on it for badly written applications (applications that use swap instead of ram). Just to clarify, Swap ...

Justinus, that is entirely incorrect. AVI can have softsubs, and mkv and ogm can have hardsubs. They usually are as you said, but not always, making this a welcome feature (I'd rather not find out it was hardsubbed after downloading the 300MB file). Kidan, usually, true. I have seen some with hardsu...

1. Certain fields are automatically filled for you by AOM. I usually add the exact length of a file, but dont bother with any hashes, and then immidiatly after adding it run AOM on it and have it make an auto creq. If AOM was to automatically CREQ the codec used (it seemed to have functionality for ...

Hardsub vs Softsub in file description [done]

It will be great if there will be a distinction between hard and softsubbed subtitles on a file (prefereably with a different icon, this should idealy be on a per SUB basis rather then a per FILE basis for multisubtitle files). A third state of "unknown" might be needed for a little while ...

the aom auto update might be bugged, but not the manual update as far as I can tell...

Go to mylist IN aom, shift select all the series/eps you want to set to watched, right click, and select set to watch/unwatched/onHDD or whatever suits your fancy.

a popup checkbox notice would be better.

And so would a help>about which includes the CURRENT version. (its kind of hard to figure out what version I am currently using...)

autoadd to files know

Well, it already autoadds to my list... but i want it to autoadd it to my files known aswell, how do i do that?

BTW. For some reason it refuses to autohash any subdirectories I created AFTER I defined a master directory to hash (and checked the hash subdirs for it).

add mpeg to default extensions

There is an option to only hash files with certain extensions. The default list contains mpg, but not mpeg.

other extensions it should probably have are ram, divx, asf, and mov.

TTH!

Well, I noticed there are a ton of formats of hash that are being done, yet the best of them all, the TTH, isn't. Why is that? Please add it.

because then i can manually rename them. If it sees that there would be a "problem" with renaming a file, then it should just make a crappy job of renaming it, it should leave its name as is and let me manually rename it. Alternatively, make it an OPTION, where you check a box if you want ...

Don't rename if new filename has invalid characters

The client should not rename if the new file name contains invalid characters, or is otherwise invalid. Usually on windows if an invalid filename is attempted, it just removes the invalid symbols or truncates the name. It is better to just leave the names as is. For example Ranma 1/2 files end up so...
