I think that before chosing which categories goes where we should make sure that we all agree on the way to implement the categories. My huge post was intended as a possible canvas for this solution, not as a reference to how i think hentai titles should be handled. I simply chose hentai because it ...

The subgenre idea sound good but it also mean that looking for anime in a particular genre should also allow the specification of a minimum weight or else it will make some extremely popular genre absolutely unuseful. Example: I want a new romantic comedy so i make a search for romance. I get the re...

one thing is essential and its that we forget about the "subgenre of" idea. Why because there will always be exceptions and having to add a main genre that doesnt fit just to allow a subgenre would be really stupid. So subgenre is a great idea but not related to anything. in fact some anim...

i think you need to see all eps to make a permanent vote else there is the temp vote. If an anime had like 200 temp vote and only 4 perm ones i think it would say a lot aniway.

the question isnt all that clear since it seem like there will be genre and subgenres.

so according to this, all the genre needed are there and even more, while many subgenres are clearly missing.

well tripling it would be the best but i dont know if the database is made to handle that as it would not only affect the users but also the groups doing the series. i would go for the parody subs section that can be disabled as it isnt something that i consider "made officially" and i kno...

The idea behind the 3 ep order is extremelly good and could help a lot in understanding whats happening in all this mess. Maybe it could help me track those special eps that i need to see when it get released on dvd. There is only one little problem. In wich sections belong the damn parody subs? als...

the minimum number of vote is a good idea and should weed out even more fanboys than having every files. but having both isnt a problem either now that the generics files are implemented.

making a mimimum vote needed would be a great idea. Making the vote wight more depnding on the number of anime vote cast could be great too as normally peoples who have seen more know what at they are talking about more so logically should be trusted more. unfortunately it could have the perverse ef...

what i dont like at them moment is that the average anime score is expected to be 7 according the rating description wich i would prefer to be at 5 as when the show was kind of good but nothing really great you are expected to give it a recommended - 7 but when the show was a bit better than that yo...

i would like to see TTH too as its the hash used in DC and it could really help finding the right file when a corrupted version of the file is also floating around.

i agree with the inconsistencies being a small problem (why is an ova a special entry and not another often seem strange) And also find your idea about subdividing bonus as it could help even thought most of the time the titles is good enough to know what it is. I must add that i am against the paro...
