I don't see why that wouldn't work. Thirty votes seems fair enough -- same as the limit for Anime Hint. 'course, some of the hatevoters probably have more votes than that, so it wouldn't be perfect. How about this, though: couldn't the permanent votes simply be changed so that the voter has to have ...

- Don't allow voting during a period of time (you register, you need a month or two to be allowed to vote). The rest are good suggestions, but... I wouldn't be here now if I hadn't been able to vote when I first found this site -- Anime Hint was what kept me here, and access to that required votes....

How difficult would it be to implement what Jcubed suggested? Rating scale selectable from profile options -- Normal (current) and Extended (+.5) would probably suffice. That way basically everyone should be satisfied, right -- those who prefer the current one can keep on using it, and those of us w...

My personal opinion is that any user who hatevotes should be permanently banned and have his votes removes. Whatever you folks decide to do, normalization or not, do *something* -- that top ten is out of control. Only two days there, and Samurai Champloo has already received 6 hatevotes, dropping it...

I'm diligently following the ranking descriptions, and as the result, about 80% of my votes fall in 6 - 8 range. That's far too large percentage per single rating... For example, I've rated both Ai yori Aoshi and Fushigi Yuugi with 7, but I damn well know that they don't deserve same rating -- but I...

Where to find enddates for animes?...
I usually have no problems finding the enddates; they're usually listed on ANN, and if that fails, I use www.allcinema.net -- but I've recently ran across couple of troublesome cases. Samurai Champloo and Darkside Blues, for example. I've spent quite a lot of time trying to find the enddates for tho...

Hm. 100-point scale? I know that many sites use such rating scale (GameSpot, for example), and I personally would have no problems with it -- but I do know that some folks have great difficulty pinpointing their ratings on such a large scale, and would instead prefer something simpler. -_-; Anyway, ...

We need more ratings, not less. Well, at least I do. I've rated plenty of anime with 7, but when I compare any two of them, I can definitely say which one was better. None of them are good enough to rate 8, but there are some that'd reserve 7.5, while some others should only have 6.5. http://dongato...
