I think you missed my point entirely..

Anyway dvdrip groups also "sub" the anime -- they put the subs from the dvd into the file.. :)

I think the word "subbed" is used instead of "released" to somehow suggest that the "intended" use of AniDB is fansubs, not dvdrips.. :)

Anyone who would hate this because of "how the war is portrayed" is just incredibly stupid, that's all I have to say. Most of the people I know who dislike Hotaru no Haka think that it's somehow invalidated by that fact that everything that happened to Seita is "his own fault", a...

Everyone knows the answer to this, Saikano episode 9... Want more? End of Cowboy Bebop (mostly thanks to Kanno..) Climax of Hotaru no Haka Some people say the last ep of Kino no Tabi.. I don't really agree. Hoshi no Koe.. (everything) Various parts of Narutaru End of Hi no Tori, maybe? And Hitsuji n...

Multiple levels of hentai-hide [DONE]

Right now the hide hentai profile flag is very limited. If I enable it, I can't lookup hentai titles even by choice. But with it disabled, hentai (with cover pics!!) shows up on the anime calendar too, which is extremely un-work-safe and generally bad for browsing around friends. (With all the stupi...

Agree totally with the original poster. This seems like a very clear case and it's only controversial because Ultima let an incorrect change get through..

OVA's are sometimes also released one disc/episode at a time, but don't get a separate entry for each one... Personally I think we have way too many useless entries for movies that are essentially "movie series", so I'd be happy to see them get combined..

Often I get one entire release, then decide it sucks and get another, and maybe then another. :) Usually this only happens with big classic series like Eva that keep getting better and better releases, but not always. Also sometimes I'll start downloading a DVDrip and realize it's not complete, so t...

Changing the filename does not result in corrupted files.

Hint works great for me.. thanks for the offer though! Really, all I want is a way to make the popup() stuff work without js, i.e. target="_new" or whatever. Or even opening in the same window would be fine. It's just annoying not to be able to use lots of the features (categories, group c...

Just an explanation to counter what Rar said. Yes, I can use Mozilla if I want to. This requires: starting X, waiting for mozilla to load, enterring my AniDB login/pass (since the "remember" feature does not work if you put it in multiple browsers..?), ... If I wanted to do it while using ...

Indeed, I think it would actually be nice to remove the top-10.. It already encourages vote-spamming, and many of the top-10 are highly overrated and not really worth recommending to new users as the best things to watch.. (altho it seems to have gotten better lately..)

Their idea of "navigation for the disabled" is nonsense. It's trying to force the wrong solution onto a problem, due to the fact that many websites are misdesigned. It's much better for the html to properly represent the markup, relations, and links, and let the user agent decide on a way ...

Opera does not have a 'text browser' mode, unless you mean suppressing image loading. Anyway I don't see how any one of the points I raised is irrelevant because of the subject matter of AniDB. Surely one could want to use elinks or another nice browser (or god forbid that lynx shit..). There's no r...
