<necromancy xmlns=underworld> Er... Bump? Did I miss anything? Has this been implemented already and I missed? Or is it in To-Do and I overlooked it? I'd really like to see something like this. Actually, I just need something similar to ed2kdump which I could just use to check file hashes, instead o...

Uh. Grammar is different? Grammar ? Who said that? There are slightly usage differences, but grammar is mostly the same. Officially there might be differently accepted ways of saying things, but in practice, it's all just portuguese. That or my IRC program magically translates whatever those portugu...

@LordOfThePigs: If all you need is a big database with meaningful content, you better try wikipedia's dump. It's freely available here. It's full of big (> 1GiB bz2'ed) database dumps which might help you stress/test/play with your system better than AOM would.

Question is: will it run on linux? :P

Yeah. I know it'll be wine compatible as far as you can make it, PetriW. Just boosting my post count. Don't worry about this. 8)

Well... i thought that installing IE6 could solve that problem.... Well... it solved a few... I could get to see the "warning this is beta" stuff window and the user name/pass word screen. The splash screen wouldn't go away, thought... :/ The error I got (right after lines similar to those...

Well... it doesn't look like msxml makes a huge difference on my case, at least. According to winehq, running wine --debugmsg +loaddll should give me a list of the dlls it's using, and it does not even mention msxml.dll: bash-2.05b$ wine --debugmsg +loaddll aom trace:loaddll:load_dll Loaded module L...

I tried too. Got to the same point as you did, i think (loaded the splash screen and then crashed). I'll try again latter, but for now the only thing I got to know is that (according to folks @ #winhq@irc.freenode.com) the error I got was a typical Delphi on wine one. [Edit]Aff... Forgot to tell you...

on the client? u mean they should be stored on the local hdd and only be displayed in the anidb client? Hm.. yeah... if it has information useful only for anime collection management, why should anidb have it? store it on local HD... But if it shows itself useful, like for fast resharing request, e...

I mean if the user has those files on hdd or on cd doesn't make a real difference. And it's also no really usable information for the user himself. Maybe, if ppl really want to use AniDB to organize its anime collection, other classes (other than those on AniDB) could be available on the client... ...

Wasn`t the idea to host the AR-forums in this forum? Since it was planned when AR moved away from SR, this would be the new AR-forum. That way you don`t have too much trouble with synchronizing imo. I was looking for sth like this.... If this is the new AR-forum (is it the same for MR too?) why not...
