It loads the database into ram, that's why it takes time, I was lazy when creating the thing. ;) It doesn't connect to anidb before the main window appears.

Will never happen, aom will not implement this, it does not take several minutes to update if you've updated within the last 24 hours, rather it takes about 20 seconds, the startup time of the client is already far longer than this. Also, the updating does not prevent you from hashing files, just dr...

No matter how good your eyesight small fonts dramatically reduce readability, as you've kinda stated yourself already in the thread. I also doubt it'd do your eyes any good since it'd cause extra strain which would be a problem that can be detrimental to your eyesight. (I don't know the terms for it...

No, what I'm trying to say is that with the proper settings you could use 3840x2400 on a 15" without fonts being small. ;) 1920x1200 on a 15" with a 8pt font does not in any way actually mean the font is small. ;)

(Although it seems it is in this case!)

a 15" screen is definitely not made for such a resolution... Uh, sure it can be, there have been monitors with 200+ dpi for at least half a decade (probably much longer). Electronic paper (E Ink) have a resolution of like 300 dpi. And I think we'll see higher dps screens become more and more c...

Yes, aom does not check the length of episode names, I think there are two? episodes which encounter this. Just rename the file manually, since aom will always fail on the rename your hand edit will remain. The error is not harmful in any way, so you can just let it be, all it'll do is appear in you...

Over the last week I've been disconnected once or twice daily where my client has not been able to reconnect within 10 minutes. I'd say that considering what we moved from other networks for it's about time to ditch zirc, it doesn't look all that great.
