Topic: HowTO set AOM 0.5.** to hash every 5 hours for new files?

Yeah it is the reason why I lost all my "watched" data and why I haven't corrected it untill now. It would simply take to long to get it back to the old state. While I am at it - the next version of AoM should offer the option th save a state and then set the Mylist on the internet to that state. Th...

I think because most people don't know about what people in Japan "really" call it, it would pose a problem to rename it to the right term and end up with 90% of the userbase not understanding the meaning. "Erotic" is definately something different from "Porn", and if you call it "H Anime" most peop...

I think we do not need any lists at all except the ones where I am at the top *hrr hrr hrr* But to be serious I'd suggest a listing of the Anime with the most users. That would be wouthout any rating at all, and you'd still be able to get a hint which Anime are currently the most watched - and propa...

you could make it a 1 to 20 rating then :P

And I agree, the stats on the main page are useless for us, but I think for the users who come to AniDB for the first time it actually something that might be interesting for them and a reason to sign on.

We had this discussion in the past and it was denied. Yeah, I wondered how Skywalka had morphed this into a denied request, when it was just a slap and he was about the only person against it. I bet you look at his votes and they're all 10-s and 1-s. :P At any rate, I think this probably falls into...

Kenshin's rating is 8.52 . If you factor out the 71 votes you'd get a rating of 8.83 . IMO that's a big difference. And BTW, it was denied or ignored? That discussion started in an anime talk thread, it wasn't requested as feature IIRC. :/ Anyway, I would like to clean such votes as well. You might...

yeah right, "totally". Two pairs of Anime change places - 6th becomes 5th and vice versa, same as 7th and 8th place. Sorry for asking, but what's the point? THAT is your "BIG" difference? Wow. For one thing - who really cares about which Anime is not first? It would have been an idea to maybe argue ...

Correct me if I am wrong but what is the "big" difference you are talking about? Kenshin's rating is 8.52. If you factor out the 71 votes you'd get a rating of 8.83. FMA has a rating of 8.92 which is reduced from 9.19. The changes seem to be in a pretty similar area, about 0.3 points. Calculate the ...

Hmm could be. But then again I also have the coresponding SRT files so there really is no reason for the files to be hidden. I also thought that Mylist files are _always_ shown, that's why I thought it was strange. I too think this should be the default for if you really visit an Anime's page and tr...

f. not showing up in listing though they arin Mylist [FIXED]

I know this might all be a little self-centered, but I'll bring it up anyway. http://64.202.105.189/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=284&expand=4619&unhide=1#eid_4619 That's Shin-Kor. I have four files of that Anime movie, namely all by the group "Bash" which is, as some may know, me. I ripped tho...

We had this discussion in the past and it was denied. I agree to that. People have the right to vote what they feel like. If they think that the particular Anime is "the worst" then that is what they think - how can you judge whether a 1 is out of pure spite or to rig the votings? Next thing you do ...

Yup that's another way... :-)

As long as you verified them right after the download you should be safe by simply dropping the ed2k links into the ed2k dump.

But please note that you shouldn't drop more than 50 links/files at a time, ed2k dump does not work good with more than that.

AoM kind of works for me now when I use "www.anidb.info" as server name. Problem is - AoM cannot log in to AniDB. The error message I get is: "Illegal input, only use ASCII characters" which irritates me since I only use ascii chars. And additionally it starts downloading the database files every ti...

I didn't get a wrong notify either, just the "DB" one mentioned above. But I wouldn't know whether the bug is fixed since I don't know if somebody added files for double episodes in the past days..
