That's because cookies are stored keyed on the URL of the server that set the cookie. If the same server can be reached via two different URLs, your browser can and will store two different cookies as well, which means that you will actually have two separate sessions with AniDB.

Koukaku Kidoutai STAND ALONE COMPLEX, Episode 9, file id 97876 . Another user just added a crc-corrupt file to the database instead of adding the already present file to his mylist and setting the appropriate flag. Since the coward is hiding himself from me, would a mod please "advise" him on how to...

Hm, I tried clicking that red close-button in your sig, but it's still there and wasting space in my browser window with information I'm absolutely not interested in. What am I doing wrong?

*nix users will usually want to avoid having filenames start with a . since .-files are commonly regarded configuration files and are hidden from directory listings by default. Windows users normally want to avoid having a . at the start of the filename since it can at times confuse Windows Exploder...

I guess all that's needed is a minor postprocessing of the filenames generated for ed2k links. Minor, because only two rules are required:
s/ +/ /g
s/^[^a-zA-Z0-9]+//

Nevertheless, it would be kinda interesting to see a demographic analysis of the votes for certain series - not limited to gender, but also covering age, education, family status, home country, ... Anyway, since something like that would require most voters to submit that information to AniDB - whic...

My MyStats or Votes are gone and Anime-Hint won't work!

Symptoms: The "MyStats" box at myplace does not show any numbers. The link to Anime-Hint is replaced with a bold red error message saying that you haven't for enough animes yet. If you are affected by this problem - don't panic. AniDB regularily compiles your mylist data into caches to make these t...

I suggest stickying a thread called "No MyStats / votes or not enough votes for anime hint" with some generic info about the db update "bug". After the n-th iteration of posts similar to this one, it's beginning to get slightly annoying. ^^;

The CoreAAC Filter itself is actually the .ax file in the archive you downloaded. When you run the .bat file, it registers the filter with Windows. If you get a message saying "DllRegisterServer in CoreAAC.ax was executed successfully." (or something like that). Once you got that message, the filter...
