Topic: Suggestion for improved voting on reviews [DONE]

I think that there really should be "approved" reviewers. What's the problem if EXP appoints those reviewers something like an "admin reviewer" status as long as that assures us to have at least one good review per Anime? The problem is that good reviewers write bad reviews too,...

<noscript> may only appear within a <script> block. I hate to tell you this (this is a lie - I love correcting people), but a noscript element absolutely _cannot_ appear in a script element (no other elements can). And you don't even need to review the dtd to find the correct usage - the w3c exampl...

Actually, I'm pretty sure that that isn't quite 100% valid HTML, but it'll render anywhere regardless, I think, and anidb does far worse. (I could make it valid HTML easily enough if I was writing the generating script, but doing it by hand is just painful.)

If it'll get you to actually make the change, here's the same sample as above, but with added <noscript>, although the only thing worth modifying is the code that generates this: (I haven't got any notifies at the moment, so I can't post the equivalent code for that feature, which also relies on scr...

Re: More balanced Group Listing according to Ratings

as was already written elsewhere the current group ratings will be replaced with the average of the anime<->group votes for the group at some point. In that case, can I renew my request to remove this feature's dependency on client side scripting? :) (<noscript> will work if nothing else. Please?)

Re: Auto-Prune Spam Episodes

As long as the title being `lame' is actually taken to mean this of all three titles fields (effectively modifying the requirements to `no-one has the episode, no files rely on it and no particularly useful information has been entered'), this sounds like a reasonable suggestion. (I certainly find i...

I don't think so.
It's definitely not fixed yet, and despite the very impressive 100% watched figure this bug gives me (could potentially be as low as 90% in reality), it would be nice to know the real number.

Re: More balanced Group Listing according to Ratings

Need to consider the number of people who rated that site as well. for example. there are currently 15+ groups rated at 10.00 but voted by only one person. While groups like ZX and KAA have 300+ votes, and have rating of 8.50+. but they still appear way down on the list if sorted by rating. is ther...

I think the main reason for the current design is you need no javascript for it to work. Well, almost no scripting. The popup windows for notifies and group-for-anime rating/comments, to name the two instances that I know of, are handled exclusively by client side scripts, with no plain html altern...

Re: Chii: !vote doesn't remove temp-vote

For that matter, can we have a method for explicitly revoking votes temporary or permanent (for those little mistakes, especially with anime ids) added to the irc interface?

Well, the new hint is up and working (mostly, there is one known bug). What do people think, does it work any better than the previous hint? Not particularly, although the new filters will occasionally be useful (even though not all of those suggested have been implemented and the form is already o...

Bug in anime hint responsible for old inaccuracies? [fixed]

While playing around with the anime hint, I discovered that it does not filter certain anime that a user has no votes for (neither permanent nor temporary) when using the `any vote' filtering option. This is particularly obvious in combination with `not in mylist'. (Limiting to permanent votes only ...

Methinks you need new glasses: the output stated that episode 2 was out (it hasn't even aired), not episode 1.

[Chii] !g4a doesn't treat generic files specially [CLOSED]

The !g4a command will list generic files under `none/unknown' (as the group), which is hugely misleading. An example of this:

Code: Select all

G4A: Kannazuki no Miko (2142): subbed by 3 groups - Deathsquad ([DeathSquad] epS1 1188), l33t-raws ([l33t-raws] ep1 468), none/unknown ([none] ep2 0)

Re: Generic files in `Up2Date'

In the facility named Up2Date for showing recent files for anime in one's list, generic files aren't being excluded. are you sure? I'm absolutely positive that it was the case when I posted the report. (`Files' were listed for episodes that only had a generic file and hadn't aired yet, with very li...
