You'd have to have a much more rigorous genre system for this to work. Princess Tutu and Ebichu are both "Comedy," but would anything useful come from comparing the two?

My first response was, "no one is that stupid," but then I realized that this is the internet we're talking about. :(

How about instead of subjective terms like "recommended" you just say the voting distribution you'd like to see? For instance: 0: Top 1% 9: Top 5% 8: Top 10% 7: Top 25% 6: Top 50% 5: Bottom 50% 4: Bottom 25% 3: Bottom 10% 2: Bottom 5% 1: Bottom 1% Or if you don't like arbitrary numbers, something li...

An observation: Yesterday my Mind Game review was at 9.75 with 5 votes. Today, after someone gave it a 10, the approval rating fell to 9.67. So basically, an additional person giving me a 10 lowered the rating. This doesn't seem right to me. More people giving a perfect score should always either ra...

A minor issue that should probably be fixed sooner or later is that in the "latest reviews" section, the color coding for the review rating still goes by the old system, where negative numbers are red, numbers close to zero are black, and positive numbers are green.

I'd like a bigger text box to leave comments in. Scrolling up to see what I've written at the beginning of my comments is proving cumbersome, even for relatively small amounts of writing.

Usually when I decide to state my opinion among the animereactor crowd, bad things happen - very bad things. However, I'm going to risk it here, because this topic is something I genuinely care about. Let's just hope I don't unintentionally start a flame war like I always do :( . For those who don't...

Well, the odd thing is that AniDB used to accept things copied from word just fine, until this latest update. I can understand if accepting characters from word would be more trouble than it was worth, but I don't really understand why this was taken away if everything already worked fine. I'm proba...

[MINOR] Â [FIXED]

It seems that every review that I've pasted from Microsoft Word now has an  before every apostrophe, hyphen, quotation mark, or ellipsis. I'm sure other special characters now have this problem as well. A minor issue, but an annoyance all the same.

Have minor changes only checked by default [tracked]

I'm kind of a perfectionist, so a lot of the time I find myself going back to reviews I've written and making revisions. However, I've found that occassionally I forget to check the small box in after the text box that says "minor changes only." When I do forget, the votes get reset and it bumps bac...

Approval Rating

I've noticed that some approval rating scores in my profile are weirdly off. For instance, right now the approval rating for my review of Shingetsutan Tsukihime is 4.98, with 8 votes. This isn't mathematically possible, considering that each "yes" vote is +10 and each "no" vote is -10. The closest t...

Heh, thanks Gambit, it's great to be here. This place is very much superior to the smacktard-fest that is animenfo; both the creators of the site and the actual userbase show a much higher level of thinking. That's my opening speech, I'll get back to plastering the "new reviews" section with my name...

Yeah, this is a pretty glaring fault that I noticed when I realized that I had posted 15 reviews in the last few days, and had no way to ignore them. I can see people who are trying to rate as many reviews as possible being quite annoyed when the "latest reviews" page is clogged with things they hav...
