- Topic: Req: Field for original (Japanese) episode titles [DONE]

First, I'll throw in another vote for this feature, I'd like it a lot. Second, when (if) this is implemented could there be an option to have AniDB generate filenames entirely in Japanese? Example: SeriesName(Jap)_-_EpisodeNumber(第1話,第一話,etc.)_-_EpisodeTitle(Jap)_-_[Group](CRC)(dub.sub)[AniDB].filex...

If you wanna, go for it. I cReq every tiny little thing until I feel the episode titles are a (near) perfect representation of the original intention. I usually wait until I'm gonna burn a series to disc and go through and translate the original Japanese titles myself, see how close they are to what...

Animes by the same creator, proper use of 'other' relation?
I know that the request to allow people to check out other animes by the same producer has been shot down before, but this is slightly different. Just as there's a genre for Ghibli, I'd like people who have enjoyed one OVA/Movie by Shinkai Makoto to be able to find other works by him. Since he's not...

[AOM] Mylist unusable after 'Processing Dump DL' [DUPLICATE]
If I go to check my mylist as soon as I start AOM I can go and play around in it, open up anime trees, set as watched, change states, etc. But after the 'Processing Dump Download' (I believe that's what it's called) is finished my Mylist becomes unusable. Whatever was overlayed on the screen before ...

Disregard deleted states when anime has mixed state [done]
When looking at one's mylist , if there's any anime series that you have files down for mixed state, it doesn't show any icon. This is useful if you added a file and accidentally listed it as shared when it wasn't, or etc., but for deletions it seems to just get in the way. Example: I have a bunch o...

'Which' video bitrate should be reported for a file?
I had just gotten a cReq granted where I changed the video bitrate (among other things) for a file as based off the AOM client and I got this message back: granted but you should use other clients than AOM for codec checking for now since that feature is far from being complete, use GSpot or somethi...

List anime-related, but non-anime files?
This question is somewhat related to this one , but different enough to merit its own topic I suppose. Can/should non-anime shows that are related to an anime be added to aniDB? The first two things that come to mind are GTO Live Action, and Sailor Moon's Live Action televison show. It could be argu...

Ahh.. Thanks, I had looked into the prefs, but not too deeply I see. (Well, it's the first option on the first page of preferences.. I have no excuses. :x) But, perhaps it would be a nice option anyways, either on the Known Files screen or hidden away in the prefs somewhere so you could do it quickl...

Somwhat related, what about duplicate entries in the 'known files' list for a single file? I renamed a file manually after I downloaded it off of BT because it didn't match the usual naming convention the group had used by a long shot (all lower case letters, brackets turned to underscores, etc.). T...

Automatically start ed2k downloads/enqueue them? [ONTODO]
How's this for an idea.. I was sitting in my room explaining to my brother how cool the AniDB client was after trying it for the first time and he was rather confused and said, "So this thing will automatically download anime for you or something as it comes out?" To which I replied, "...
