Uh uh ... I think many (non-british) people don't recognize St George's Cross at all (I wonder how many would think it is a Georgia's flag?). Better to stick with Union Jack.

I would prefer if there was a mandatory field - number of episodes seen. I often start watching series while it is still airing. A brief resume what it is about and what people think of it, even if based only on a few episodes, is often useful for deciding what to watch. Reviews based on not all epi...

One other small fact: a review of mine has 2 votes, "3" and "5", and a current rating of 6.82 :) That's the thing I don't like most about the new system. The rating may be totally different from the votes given. I think we can safely assume that a review that got only votes unde...

Hey Akaneon, maybe your initial idea wasn't so bad, but it is totally understandable that the AniDB staff prefers introducing a smart statical script to checking thousands of mini-reviews or weeding out people giving too many 1s. Now, I would certainly prefer this script to be publicly available, it...

Well, it seems the new algorithm uses some kind of by-user averaging, probably votes by people who give too many high scores are actually scaled down. So, a 10 from such a person would count as, say 8.7. No way to be sure, just a user's thought based on seeing through many ratings. But I agree, that...

What is your definition of non-crap browser, Der Idiot?
It happens in Opera (9), Firefox (1.5) and Explorer (7) with standard AniDB layout (also without logging in).

Wojtast means group ratings, not the anime ratings.

Check the problem before responding like that.

I do not agree with not revealing the new algorithm for counting the avarage, but OK, if you think it will help, it is your decision. Still, I would like to know what I should take into consideration while voting, so I have two general questions: Does the new algorithm take into account: 1. the tota...

Hmm... the idea is good, but wouldn't this mean that a smart "This series MUST be in top 10" fan could create an account, give a 10 to his chosen series, troll other 10 or more , and get his modvote for the chosen series sky-high? That would happen, if the weighting system would not be imp...
