I never saw Basilisk... didn't think I'd like it. But just started airing is Romeo x Juliet . It's completely different than the play (Juliet sometimes dresses up like Zorro and saves people in distress) but from what I've read it's similar to Basilisk in that the two protagonists are supposed to be...

But yeah, by all means feel free to watch. You might think it's the greatest example of anime romance out there.

Keep in mind there are quite a few people [like me] who absolutely hated Kimi ga Nozomu Eien. It's one of two anime I wish I could purge my memory of.

It is most definitely not.

That title would have to go to either Juuni Kokuki, Trigun, or Haibane Renmei. Or a hundred other anime that are more suited for the spot.

Maria-sama ga Miteru Devilman Lady Yami to Boushi to Hon no Tabibito ...in addition to those already mentioned. Maria-sama is more extreme friendship than romantic type love... as for the other two, don't expect any happy endings. My favorite shoujo-ai is actually a manga. You can check it out here...

Nooooo I did it wrong. How humiliating.

I was bored so I improved the Jungle wa Itsumo Hare nochi Guu description. Before it looked like someone had run it through a whatever-to-English translator. It's a peacefull village in the jungle; blazing sun and tropical trees. The village people are governed by the Elder. Food depends on hunting....

But yeah, despite glaring flaws such at these this site is ichiban.
