Expand character limit in message system? Preview? [tracked]

Not entirely sure if this has been complained about before, but I lost about 4 pages of material with a message I tried to send out earlier. "Body text too long" and even in Firefox it undid all of my edits. If it is too difficult to expand the character limit on the message system, it wou...

check the mirror I never would expect someone with a nick like yours saying something like that. 8O :-D @ all: While Petriw's solution proves to be wonderful, it still has some flaws. For starters, Petriw's divinity does not flow out because he was born that way. In fact, the great I (ORESAMA!!!) j...

Even then, that's reason to have some concern.

I still think we should use the "mymessages" section to handle outgoing reviewing votes and the such - the only difficulty would be separating review votes from actual PMs...

My thoughts exactly...

Just in case, a line break is often confused with a carriage return. Basically I want to have the margin reset so that a new paragraph may begin.

This doesn't work at all in the comments - all of the text just runs together into one huge paragraph that is frustrating to read.

I disagree...simply because people change their minds too easily. Anime is not a human being that you must decide which one you have to love the most, it's entertainment. Anyone, experienced otaku or absolute newbie will always find a new obsession. While the experienced might be more reluctant at c...

Review comments - Line break? [done]

Even when I'm commenting on a review, I like to have it neatly organized. Often my comments can range from 50-500 characters, depending on the quality of the review...it would be nice to get line breaks into the text. :-) Just a little easier on the eyes when reading a river of sentences colliding i...

I could agree to this: however, I think that this would seriously kill the server load...having EVERY single user's vote counted? If I'm wrong about this, though, I think it'd be a great idea. Just post a link to it inside the "myreviews" section. Or better yet, maybe make the "mymess...

Is it possible to make a function in the reviews area that will display all the comments on your reviews? I haven't a clue what reviews I have that have been voted for. :-)

...yeah, I'm that excited. ;-)

Summary As there are PURELY two sides to this argument, I've summed up a list of possible things to agree on. 1) We all agree that the system needs change, right? Though there is an elitist and communist side to this argument, both groups want some change. Therefore, we can: a. Do nothing. As a res...

And yes, people do like and trust our reviews. I have two friends, Warden and PaV, both at aniDB who always talk about how much they enjoy my reviewing. And again your ego. If people like your reviews they won't care about being rated bad. Damn straight my ego. People don't give a damn what I say, ...

The problem is that good reviewers write bad reviews too, from time to time. Yeah, but a bad review for this sort of reviewer would still be better than the average spam that reaches the database. I've seen Gambit write really bad reviews, but they always had content that was worth more than...

Well, don't pay attention to them then. Yes I see a flaw in trusted reviewers, they are trusted because of what? Because some people likes them? Who? Anyway, that doesn't mean each review of a trusted reviewer would be good. And I don't see why they should be put before other MUCH better reviews fr...
