We seem to have an ongoing race of FMA fanboys and RK OVA 1 fanboys right now. They are switching places every day. Both have gotten at least 30 hatevotes in the past month. Seriously, something must be done about this. <speculation> I can imagine someone who hails FMA as the best anime ever checkin...

I'll vote for the 5% filtering system, as it seems the simplest (and implemented the fastest, if ever. Yes, I'm being sceptical). But, exp seems to be ignoring this one, so it may be a while before anything (if anything) is done about this. Oh, he tries very hard to ignore all the posts in here

Beyond the Clouds people just voted that high because it's an OVA and OVA usually come out in DVD quality ;) *cough* It's a movie. Also, I fail to see why would people vote high just because whoever subbed it ripped it from a DVD. There are other elements that makes a good movie/series than just vi...

From my experience, inputting any kanji title (utf8 title?) in the little search box always causes illegal input. However, using the Advanced search works fine.

I was wading through anidb's html code one time and I was amazed that a browser could even render the soup. I doubt a few extra closing tags can hurt that much. I'd much more like to see one of those real xhtml/css conversions ( 1 , 2 , probably others) for the site's code. While we're on the subjec...

DB change request page contains mod-only links [FIXED]
The details page for a still-open creq contains the links "[Back to CREQ List] - [Next Open CREQ]" which both give access denied to normal users. There should only be one link, which would go back to the creq page for normal users.

That ski-jumping example is impossible to do without putting a heavy load on the server I think, and additionally what's the use of that? Every 1 and 10 cancel each other out with in the end leaving some. I can agree that it's not feasible because of the extra load to the server, but it would not p...

It must be 'Hide raw files on anime page' profile option. My opinion: Stuff that's in your mylist should be visible on an anime page even without the 'show all' button, no matter what your profile says (even better: add a profile option for this 8) ). I have raw files hidden too but there are a few...

Filtering "hatevotes"
Hatevotes is what I call it when somebody votes an '1' just because he/she thinks the anime has a too high rating in AniDB and wishes to lower it. Perhaps a more descriptive name for this would be "overrated votes", but that's longer to type. :) Examples of this behaviour can be found in e...
