A bit broke right now, due to unmentionable circumstances
It's great to see the coders have found time to make this change, thanks! It will be very useful for so many files now & in the future
I guess this thread can be closed now too. Bye & keep up the good work!

Expandable Trees [for Anime Views]
First off, my thanks for the continued reliability and funtionality of this great service! I browse lots of sites, some like Microsoft's Technet, which have these excellent expandable trees implemented in various ways. The idea would be to use them on anime main pages and all other pages that use ex...

AniDB Auto-Refreshing Notify
The AniDB Auto-Refreshing Notify was removed due to design faults which would cause excessive server load. Instead, a better solution using the UDP API will be implemented. This new program will be able to do lots of interesting things, and will also take up only a small portion of the desktop in a ...

Perpetually META Reloading Notify List
I've been playing with another idea for notifications. This one uses the Windows Active Desktop to show an edited local html version of the main page. It is edited to remove all items but the notify line, and also has a meta refresh of 1 minute. Embedding it in a tiny locked window on the desktop, i...

Auto Login?
Sorry to ask again, but I used to use a specially-crafted link so that when I go to the AniDB site I'm logged in automatically. The username/pass is in the url, and it also contains the phrase "doautologin"... does anyone know what the URL format for this auto-login feature is? Thanks.

Something must be done about situations like the current mess that Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children is becoming. Over the past twenty-four hours, numerous files have been added, particularly multiple sub files by the BiEN group. The first ones claimed they were English, and I downloaded them to fi...

How about separating div6 from div5? I think that the quality difference between these two versions would make it desireable that users could identify them...

suggestions
I did an encoding of Wonderful Days... original audio stream was 768kbps DTS. No transcoding, just straight transmux into mkv. As for filetypes, how about just using the FourCC for video? Such an apporach makes much more sense that trying to define an arbitrary list of codecs. User friendly names ca...

add: search by file attributes [DENIED]
I'd like to suggest a new feature: in Advanced Search, add search fields for file attributes, such as resolution, codec, bitrate, audio codec, channels, etc. Since these attributes are already quantified, no parsing or interpretation is needed, just expose them! This way, I can search for all the h....
