well i would like to know the details like error messages or other stuff that happened when u
try to add things from C:\
well like exp said u need write permissions on all files and directory's the client should check

well if you like to have an client: fast stable good looking full of xtravagant
super features and written in plain c++ or assembler ....

well.... jep .... i think i know what this is all about ... well
anidbclient alone takes up ~24 mb ram while running ...
i wonder how the hell u got .net running in such a box but
i don't think u'll get any .net application running sorry ...

u got a point

I think too that theres not enough info in ep tab so
which info do you want in there ??
i want you to think about it ... if its too special about the files i have
to get the info about every file from db so this is going to generate
even more selects to db which is slow already ...

it seems like it doesnt have much to do with anidb or somethin so
i'll just ask what do you like in this client ? which feature do u wanna
see in future anidb clients of it ?

.net prob lems ??

as i said it have not tested the app on win2k
but i think it should work if .net apps in general work
atm i don't have any clue about why it fuxx0rs ... sorry

hmmm

i cant get any information out of that ... so plz describe what you were doing exactly. if it crashes directly or on first click. i just can't even guess whats going on just by Security Exception .. but consider that u need write permissions on the folder the client works in and permissions to open ...

Considered ...

1 a) = don't include floppy cd in normal hashing dia ... should not be a prob will do. 1 b) = hmm batch adding of cd's ... should not be a prob either, cause hashing still remains mostly the same but changes on the gui will take some time ( if i can cope with that without too much hassle i'll includ...

Seems like there was a timeout of the http connection during download of the update files ( i will cache them in the future for slow machines ) after that the crash @ startup is predictable as you said the db is fuxx0rt after a broken update ( the error handling is quite difficult but on todo since ...
