After talking to PetriW for a few minutes, well... I think I take back what I said. :P

At least for now. :twisted:

Oh well. I'd probably be ok with a small udp client. Always online, so no need for a local copy yet. :)

It'll be interesting to see how you plan on doing this. ^^;

My idea of a multiplatform client is a wxBase based (note: not wxGTK, wxWin or wxMac, but wxBase only!) backend that can communicate with anidb and manage the local copy. Basically, do what aom does without the GUI. And then some documentation about how to use that lib, so it'd be possible to have m...

Which reminds me I still need to edit some minor points in that page... :P

PetriW's wiki doesn't like me very much, so I'll see if I manage to do it today. :roll:

[...]Comon exp, why you punishing us who choose not to take part in bill gates' monopoly.[...] O.o What are you talking about? The only reason there's only a windows "full" client is because PetriW 's spent a nearly unhealthy ammount of time doing it. As it has been said before, get exp's...

I'm not sure if I should reply in English or just whine (also in English, of course) about someone making sure people know he's a brazilian in an international, English speaking forum. :?: :?

Uh? You're the dev? (Sorry. I can't read a thing in Russian - or, for that matter, anything that's not in either English or Portuguese.) I'll be waiting for your next version, then. ^^; Btw, thx for the tool! http://dongato.dyndns.org/icon/yellow/mod_icon_thumb.gif [Edit]Baka me! You're name's in th...

Wow! Thx! Good tool for avi. For mkv, though, it still fails at getting me some information about bitrates. :( $ avinfo Oruchuban_Ebichu_-_01.avi Oruchuban_Ebichu_-_01.avi, 148Mb video: 512x384 00:21:08 23.97fps DivX3 848Kbps audio: 44KHz 00:21:08 Stereo 127Kbps mp3 against $ avinfo gunslinger.girl....

Tool to get audio and video bitrates on linux,...

...is there any?

mkvinfo gives me the codec, height, width, etc. Can't find length (not really a problem, just starting mplayer gives me that) nor bitrates, though.

At least, is there a good way to calculate bitrates from the info mkvinfo provides?

Niiice. ^^; That last one almost got me to write some phpBB template (though I suck at anything web based, so don't expect anything :P ). One thing had been bothering me, though. All these designs (anidb's and DG's included) suffer from using single letters as links. That's fine for, say, an m . But...
